Vince Lombardi Signed Autograph Framed Display
Product Description
Not only the greatest coach in the history of the National Football League, Vince Lombardi (1913-1970) is the most influential head coach in all of sports. The Hall of Famer, inducted in 1971, began his football career as a student athlete at Fordham University.
Many sports enthusiasts would argue that football’s ascension to the top of American sport began in 1959 when Vince Lombardi was named head coach of the Green Bay Packers. From 1959-1967 the Lombardi Packers set the bar for all future NFL teams to come. In the 1960’s, the Lombardi Packers won 5 National Football League Championships, as well Super Bowl I and II in 1966 and 1967. In fact, his impact on the game was so powerful that the NFL named the Super Bowl Trophy after him.
This 21” x 19” wonderful, framed display features Lombardi being carried off the field by legendary right guard Jerry Kramer following the Packers’ 33-14 Super Bowl II victory over the Oakland Raiders. This photo is accompanied by a gorgeous Vince Lombardi hand-signed autograph.
The signature is in mint condition. It is a large signature, measuring 3.5 inches in length, and is perfectly legible. Due to his passing at the young age of 57, Lombardi autographs are highly coveted by all football enthusiasts and are not easily found, especially ones like this.
