One of the most popular photographs in baseball history, all memorabilia collectors search for autographed examples of this one. Roger Maris (1934-1985) was a reluctant signer, a bit shy and introverted in fact. He did not attend card show signings or even private sessions. He passed away at the young age of 51, long before they came into vogue. Consequently, the Maris autographs extant are a result of ones obtained in person (compare that to the number of Mantle autographs extant, for example).
The photo itself is free of tears, rips, browning, holes or scratches and measures 8 x 8 inches. It has been professionally double matted and framed under ultraviolet protected plexiglass.
