The Boker Griploc is one more stroke of genius from Grant & Gavin Hawk, father and son custom knifemakers. This elegant pocket knife offers an intelligent handle design, consisting of several parts, which holds the blade open as long as you hold the knife in your hand. Just release the pressure on the handle, and you can easily close the blade. Additionally, the open blade can be permanently secured by a safety slider located at the end of the handle. The elaborate layout and design of the lever arm mechanism allows the unique handling and is the masterpiece of this construction. The AUS-8 stainless steel blade is opened with the flipper. This unique new "clear" version of the original Griploc was originally produced in a very small quantity originally, but the interest was overwhelming — customers were thoroughly intrigued by the design mechanics showing how the Griploc actually performs. Now, not only can you own a working knife, but you can own a true conversation piece!

About the Designer
Grant and Gavin Hawk have been making knives for over 20 years, starting with some very basic fix blade designs. Soon they realized that to really do well they needed to make a folding knife. After designing their very first folder, the design was picked up by a manufacturer and later featured on the cover of a prominent knife magazine. Soon they ended up becoming an R&D company for the knife industry and becoming the go to guys for new and unusual knife mechanisms.
