Blueoculus
Float Table
The name ‘blueoculus’ comes from the round opening on top of the Pantheon, an ancient structure in Rome. The designers spent a summer in Rome studying architecture and frequently visited the Pantheon. "It was magical," describes designers Jungbae E and Youngmin Sohn. "When it rained, a soft drizzle fell inside. On sunny afternoons, light would beam into the dark, expansive, domed space. I’ll always remember the transcendent experience."
From this their idea was planted and today their vision is expressed through clear brushed aluminum tables and simplistic projects featured both in design and home furnishing magazines.
