Imagine a deeper and richer version of the Blanton’s Single Barrel and add on a dash of exclusivity and panache. Blanton's Red Takara Japanese Edition is one of the most enigmatic and elusive Bourbons to get your hands on anywhere outside of Japan. This premium expression is similar to the Original Single Barrel Bourbon but with one key difference— it's aged for an additional two years. Unlike other Bourbons, the Red Takara Japanese Edition is aged for a total of 8 years in the barrel, while still yielding a stunning 46.5% ABV. This unique process creates a beautiful, warm maple-color Bourbon, with notes of deep vanilla, chocolate fudge, and cherry pipe tobacco on the nose. On the first sip you get a deeper and richer version of Blanton's core with creamy notes of brown butter and clove. It then opens up to marmalade, toffee, and wild honey. The finish is long with peaches and cream.
