BLACK SHEEP (White Light) came to life at the end of a lengthy search for the perfect sheepskin for an interior design project. Knowing those IKEA pelts weren't going to cut it, the founders attention turned to the long wool pelts of Icelandic sheep, which offered both a plush, ultra warm feel and rich aesthetic— in addition to being completely eco-friendly to harvest and produce. Each pelt in this collection meets strict EU directives concerning environmental preservation and protection, ensuring that every piece is as environmentally responsible as it is gorgeous to look at.

Care Instructions: Shake and/or vacuum occasionally to remove dust and debris. In the event of a spill or stain, mix wool-specific detergent with warm water to produce foam. Using foam only (do not soak or submerge sheepskin in water), work the foam over the affected area and pat dry with a clean cloth. Shake and leave to dry, finish with a combing. Alternately, item can be dry cleaned.

Bryce Gracey is the founder of Black Sheep (White Light)—a brand that specializes in eco-friendly pelts and throws. Gracey was an architect in Canada who was searching for the perfect interior design piece when he discovered the pelts of the Icelandic sheep and knew he needed to share that beauty with the rest of the world.

All sheepskins sold by BS (WL) are bi-products of primary usage from indigenous Icelandic and native farming; this helps reduce the waste associated with this production. Furthermore, each sheepskin is stamped 'eco-friendly' as the tanning process abides by strict EU & EPA directives concerning environmental preservation and human health.
