Black Ivory Coffee
Cognac Barrel Aged Black Ivory Coffee
Product Description
For an even more exclusive and inventive coffee experience, these Black Ivory Coffee beans have been barrel aged inside an American oak barrel that previously held world class XO Cognac. It is among the most rare and expensive coffees in the world with only 1.5 lb of the 2021 Vintage for Cognac Barrel Aged available. Each envelope contains 1.23 ounces of whole roasted Thai Arabica coffee beans that have been naturally refined by elephants. Before being barrel aged, Black Ivory Coffee beans have notes of chocolate, tamarind, spice, a hint of grass , and none of the burnt or bitter taste of regular coffee. The introduction of cognac adds flavors of cinnamon, dried fruit, old port, and violet with the aroma of sweet pastries. No matter your level of expertise with coffee, Black Ivory Coffee provides a truly distinctive and unique experience.
Black Ivory Coffee is a socially conscious business that considers the welfare of the elephants and conservation of their habitat as critical in the making of their unique coffee. All of the elephants are treated with the utmost care from their full-time caregivers with treats like daily baths, play-time, and of course those luscious coffee cherries. Black Ivory Coffee also donates a portion of its proceeds to the Golden Triangle Asian Elephant Foundation in Northern Thailand to send local children to a national park where they can see wild elephants for the first time and learn about the need for habitat protection.
