The Dark Matter series represents a real step in a new direction at Black Badger. These rings are milled from the same F1-quality carbon fiber plate as the Sidecut series, but each ring is individually hand-faceted to give a completely unique form to each ring. Each Dark Matter 'event' creates a completely unique and bespoke ring that is unlike anything available on the market today. The multifaceted form does an amazing job of showing off the light characteristics within the carbon laminate. And the fact that it is solid homogenous carbon fiber composite means structures of spectacular elegance and beauty can be created.

About the Designer
James Thompson is a 36 year old industrial design MFA originally from Vancouver, Canada. He is based out of Göteborg, Sweden, a country he has lived in for the last 10 years. He works with a wide range of design projects but advanced materials is the one continuous thread. Modern jewlery design is the main focus, in particular bringing new and innovative materials into the marketplace. This allows him to create unexpected moments of pure visual joy.
