About the Designer

Designer Layla L'obatti's Persian-American heritage has given her a unique perspective and foundation for her career as a designer. Merging Western strength and independence with Middle Easter culture's rich history of art and romance, Layla's pieces draw on concepts of beauty from multiple sources of inspiration in her cultural upbringing.

Layla has developed a philosophy on the nature of female inner strength. A woman's knowledge, experiences, and strength of character shine from within. A woman with inner beauty doesn't let her clothes wear her, she wears them, and they are merely the outer layer of polish that enhances her inner glow. She commands attention upon entering a room. It is this aura that most women work a lifetime to create, and that can be brought out with truly exquisite lingerie.

Layla lives in her Astoria, New York apartment, a short trip outside of the sprawling metropolis of Manhattan along with her boyfriend Josh and their cats Isabela Marchesa and Mars. Her vicinity to the hubbub of urban life, and the many love stories that take place there, inspire her to create her collections from her cozy NYC apartment.
