Product Description

Corner Creek was founded in the mid-90s by two industry veterans well before the bourbon boom began. With extensive experience and contacts in Kentucky distilling, the founders would source great whiskies and choose select casks for their annual blends—including from a well-regarded distiller known for their four-grain bourbons. After 2010, the few remaining distillers realized they had reduced their aged inventories to a precarious level, and as a result, four-grain whiskey was no longer available for purchase by the barrel. Corner Creek purchased a final round of several thousand barrels and entered in a contract distillation arrangement with a large producer of award-winning bourbon to maintain their stocks.

This small batch Kentucky straight bourbon is a blend of 5-year-old, contract-distilled bourbon with a 3 grain mash bill (70% corn, 12% rye, and 18% malted barley) and 7-year-old “wheated” bourbon from sourced casks. With this unique blend, Corner Creek is once again considered a “four-grain” whiskey. It is non-chill filtered to maintain all of the well-aged flavor. The wheat comes through in the overall smoothness and gentle finish after a fruit forward start.
