Bandit 9
Dark Side
Product Description
Bandit9 is back with the Dark Side: a sleek, beautiful, daring, and operatic vision of the future. Bandit9 looked to the skies instead of the streets for inspiration in designing the Dark Side. This pitch black bike is influenced heavily by aircraft design. The unibody seamlessly unifies the fuel tank, seat, and rear lights into one piece fabricated from stainless steel similar to an airplane's fuselage.
Bandit9's creator, Daryl Villanueva, wanted the Dark Side to have a distinctly cinematic quality to the way it moves so that anyone who saw it would appreciate its grace and artistry. It features a RevX engine— a modern, liquid-cooled, V-Twin that lowers the center of gravity of the bike for smoother handling at all speeds. It's far more responsive than most traditional engines, and with its improved weight-to-power ratio, Bandit9 is confident the Dark Side can outpace its larger counterparts.
For added scale and gravitas, the Dark Side's original frame was completely redone with the neck extended and angled forward. The rear of the frame was shortened, but the swingarm has been extended, and beefy 16" tires added, making the bike sleek and sporty.
The Dark Side also has a host of upgrades and handmade customizations including a shortened Vance & Hines exhaust, stainless steel fenders and front cowl, a flush gas cap, LED lens headlamp, rear lights, and signals, along with a hand-stitched Italian leather seat, drag bars, inverted forks, spoked tires, and a handmade radiator cover.
This is the definition of a limited edition piece: only 9 will ever be made.
