Product Description
Representing a unique piece of aeronautical history, the Boeing 747 Main Wheel Coffee Table is a remarkable statement piece that gives any space a handsome, industrial inspired twist. This upcycled coffee table has been expertly crafted from an FAA Certified Airworthy Boeing 747 Main Wheel Assembly. Most recently in operational service with Malaysia Airlines, this complete wheel assembly comes with original 2009 FAA 8130 Dual Release Certificate and Shop Report by AAR Landing Gear Services, Boeing’s exclusive wheel repair station.
The wheel is mounted on a custom base that mimics the support of the original aircraft axle. This unique mounting system allows the wheel to functionally and accurately rotate on its original bearings, while keeping wheel securely attached to the base. The center of the outer bearing is constructed with two custom-fit, ¼” stainless steel discs with mounting bracket, which have been pressed into place and sealed to give you full view of the rotating outer bearing rollers while the the logo remains stationary in the center.
