More functional than the original, the Airacobra P45 Chrono is a logical evolution of a watch collection dedicated to the pilots of the 1940s. During that period, the Airacobra plane was one of the best fighters of its time, with especially effective ground attack capabilities, making it a valuable addition to the infantry.
It was around this same time when pilots began receiving watches as part of the indispensable equipment for their missions. The Airacobra P45 Chrono tells this amazing story at it’s own way: its dial has both hour numerals and hour markers giving the watch a tool-like feel and easy readability. The date window is at the 4 o’clock position, and smartly highlighted by the hour index. The time is also visible in any lighting conditions, thanks to the anti-reflective coating on the sapphire crystal and luminous material on the indexes and hands.
The clean sub-dials are dipped, and have radial finishing in the center making the counters highly legible and unobtrusive. The watch even features telemeter and tachymeter scales, contributing to its instrumental look and feel.
