The Automatic Fire Extinguisher Ball is a decorative fire extinguisher apparatus that utilizes a micro gas generating system much like an airbag to disperse a dry chemical into a fire and put it out. After 3-10 seconds of contact with the fire, the ball automatically deploys, releasing a fire-retardant chemical that is safe and toxic free, even for children and pets. Would this be safe to use on a grease fire in the kitchen?

Yes. However, it is best to avoid throwing it into the grease. We have received reports of successfully extinguishing grease fires when it is not placed in the grease.

What is the difference between the 3LBS Ball & the 5LBS Ball?

The weight difference is coverage; 3LBS is recommended for a 10x10 room, 5LBS is recommended for a 15x15 room.
