Mosasaurus Jaw in Matrix with Excavation Jacket // Ver. 1
Product Description
The Mosasaurus was a powerful swimmer that spent its life in the sea and was one of the largest lizards that ever evolved, reaching almost 60 feet in length. Plentiful during the Cretaceous period, fossil evidence indicates they had disappeared by the end of that era. They are thought to be related to modern day monitor lizards, including the Indonesian Komodo dragon. This fascinating specimen or home décor piece features a fossilized partial mosasaurus jaw in matrix still wrapped in the jacket which was placed around the specimen for protection during excavation.
