Mellitella ammonite fossils, more commonly known as Agadir ammonites, get their name from where they were found. They existed between 65 and 120 million years ago during the Cretaceous period. They're sought over for their overall detail and size. They exhibit high quality morphological details such as clear ribbing, they have little matrix and often show no damage. Composed of mainly limestone, they are collected from Agadir mountains Morocco.
