Product Description
The Chelyabinsk Meteorite fell from the sky in Russia in February of 2013. A 20 meter wide meteorite, it was brighter than the Sun when it entered our atmosphere and exploded into fragments about 18 miles over Chelyabinsk, Oblask in Russia. Based on its trajectory when it arrived in our atmosphere, it is believe this meteor originated in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. Classified as an LL Chondrite, it is a stony meteorite with low iron and metal content.
