The Holzmaden Shale of Germany has once again produced another great and decorative marine fossil specimen. This collage of aquatic history features a vibrant orange Ammonite perched atop some aquatic remnants including a lone, brown Belemnite over 2 inches in length. The focal Ammonite, approaching 5 inches, is fairly well preserved and has another smaller, partial shell peering out from behind it, along with many other ribbed imprints of the ancient creatures including some tiny complete specimens embedded in its hard gray matrix.
