The Ammonite Container is a one of a kind, small, hand-carved vessel with lid. This piece is made from Orthoceras (Belamite) fossil clusters in sea-bed matrix. The orthoceras mollusk lived in abundance during the Paleozoic Era 250 to 750 million years ago. The surfaces are polished with a glassy finish. Being a natural product, no two items will be exactly the same. Pattern may vary.
