Genuine Polished Orthoceras Tower // V2
Product Description
This school of Orthoceras ("straight horn") are slender, elongated, fossilized shells with the middle of the body chamber transversely constricted, and a subcentral orthochoanitic siphuncle. The surface is ornamented by a network of fine lirae. They date from the Devonian Period, approximately 400 million years old.
The fossilized Orthoceras are shaped into a tower using their matrix and polished by hand. Its natural monochromatic color story and its shape makes for a very modern and organic display piece that would work nicely in any interior.
