Genuine Sikhote-Alin Meteorite In Display Box
Product Description
In 1947, an iron meteorite fell on the Sikhote-Alin Mountains of southeastern Russia. Although large iron meteorite falls had been witnessed previously and fragments recovered, a fall of this magnitude had never been observed before in recorded history. An estimated 70 tonnes (metric tons) of material from the Sikhote Alin Meteorite survived the fiery passage through the atmosphere and reached the Earth.
This is a genuine Sikhote-Alin Meteorite fragment from Primorsky Krai, Russia. This authentic specimen comes in a labeled glass display box with color image and a brief written description.
