All the insects in Asana displays are bred and raised on preservation farms and collected only after their natural passing. Each one includes an information card so you can learn more about your new insect.

Does the birdwing butterfly come with importation paperwork?

The Birdwing butterfly was imported into the U.S. with legal U.S. Fish and Wildlife paperwork along with the special CITES permit. This product can only be sold and shipped within the United States so there is no further certification needed.

Is there a glass covering the specimen and if not, can one be added? And if not, how are we to clean the specimen without damaging it ?

There is a glass piece embedded in the front of the shadowbox which protects the specimen. You can clean the front of the glass with Windex and a towel.
