SunJel has been making quality gel fuel for indoor and outdoor fireplaces since 1985. Their ultra-clean burning fuel gives you the cozy comfort of a warm, crackling fire without the smoke and soot of a traditional wood-burning fireplace. All SunJel products are easy to light and require no ventilation so they are safe for indoor fireplaces too. Each can burns for approximately 2.5 hours (depending on conditions) with a beautiful 7" yellow flame and a wonderful crackling sound.

Does the flame generate any heat?!

Yes, the alcohol blend of fuel burns and produces a real fire that does give off heat.

Can it be shut off prior to it running out of fuel?

Yes, you get a snuffer with the fireplace. All you need to do is cover the top of the can with it.
