A wonderful Roman candlestick unguentarium, 2nd - 3rd Century AD, a common form of perfume container originating during the 2nd century AD. The vessel is free-blown, the bell-shaped body with indented bottom. The long tubular neck is constricted at base with wide, flattened rim. H: 6.75”. Well-preserved with mottled deposits.
