Colt Model 1849 Gunfighter's Pistol // Kill Notches on Grip!
Product Description
An excellent Colt Model 1849 Percussion Pocket Revolver manufactured in 1852, serial # 30319. Grips with at least 6 “kill notches” on left side (some more aggressively carved than others). 0.31 caliber, with 4” octagonal barrel marked “Address Saml. Colt New-York City” in two lines on top. Flat, 6-shot round cylinder; open-top frame is marked “Colt’s Patent” and serial number on left side; brass grip straps marked “31 Cal.” on left rear trigger guard bolster and “5” on front web; one-piece varnished walnut grips. All visible serial numbers match including the wedge. Action works nicely and rotates the cylinder sharply. A fantastic display piece with a ton of history and eye appeal.
