Ancient Greek. Seleucid Kingdom. Diodotos Tryphon, 142-138 BC. Beautiful bronze AE17 coin, Antioch on the Orontes mint. Diademed head of Diodotos Tryphon right / Spiked Macedonian helmet adorned with wild goat horns; caps of the Dioskouroi to inner left. Deep olive-green patina with reddish earthen deposits. Fantastic portrait and detail!
