Holy Land, Judaea. Iron Age oil lamp, c. 1300 - 1200 BC. This large wheel-made buff clay oil lamp with classic 'pinched' nozzle and rounded bottom. The spout is still blackened from use in ancient times and heavy earthen encrustation throughout.
