Medieval England, c. 15th-16th century AD. This large bronze horse harness decoration would have been attached to a leather bridle or strap, likely part off the horse’s military or ceremonial dress. It depicts a horse’s head left in profile, within an arching horseshoe. It arrives intact with the 2 attaching rivets still in place on back.
