Roman Egypt, Coptic period, c. 4th - 7th Century AD. A large two-sided wooden hair comb, of long rectangular form with both fine and coarse teeth. The central portion is decorated with crossed lines composed of incised concentric circles. Some losses, a few teeth missing, but a well preserved example of an ancient hair comb!
