Holy Land Vessel // Old Testament Period c. 1200-800 BC
Product Description
Holy Land, Old Testament Period. Early Iron Age, c. 1200-800 BC. A wonderful large terracotta single-handled vessel. Likely an item of ancient tableware, used to contain wine or water. Wheel-made with sturdy construction, gracefully-curved neck, large single handle and small ring foot. Remarkably well-preserved with only a small area of repair to the mouth. Otherwise intact, with nice surfaces, attractive root marks from being buried for millennia, and light Holy Land earthen deposits.
