From late Medieval England, Tudor Period, 1600’s AD, this rare Bronze Belt Buckle is a cast bronze lyre-shaped engraved frame with strap socket containing the petrified traces of the original leather strap, pivot for iron pin (lost in antiquity). L: 63mm (2.5 in). From the collection of the late Eldert Bontekoe, owner of Pegasi, Ann Arbor Michigan.
Accompanied by a hand-signed certificate of authenticity which includes all the details, culture, dating, motifs/inscriptions when applicable, historical relevance, and provenance.
