Ancient Roman North Africa, circa 2nd-4th Century AD. An excellent Roman redware pottery plate or shallow bowl. Measures 9 1/8 inches in diameter, in an excellent state of preservation, with light earthen and mineral deposits. Could still be used to store or display dry goods! Ex Dr Arnold R. Saslow private collection, South Orange, New Jersey, acquired from the London Market in the 1980’s.
