Holy Land, Judaea, Old Testament Period. Iron Age, c. 1200 - 586 BC. Ceramic oil lamp. Excellent, very large, wheel-made buff clay oil lamp with classic 'pinched' nozzle and rounded bottom. Spout is still blackened from ancient use! Intact, earthen encrustation throughout.
