Product Description
Urartu, Ancient Armenia. A Urartian bronze belt fragment, c. 860 - 612 BC, found in Eastern Anatolia. Fashioned from sheet bronze with three horizontal bands of raised stippling, a thin strip at one edge pierced at regular intervals. Nice mottled green patina. Large, wide bronze belts or girdles fashioned from sheet bronze were popular during the late 2nd - early 1st Millennium BC.
