Knights Templar France. Philip IV Le Bel, 1268-1314 AD. Large silver gros tournois minted at Tours, France, between 1304 and 1307 AD. Featuring a gray cabinet tone, this coin was struck during the Knights Templar's height of power, and supported their establishment of the world's first banking system for pilgrims traveling to the Holy Land.
