China, Qing Dynasty. Xian Feng, 1851-1861 AD. Massive bronze 50 cash coin, Board of Revenue mint, Peking, North branch mint, cast June 1853 to February 1854.
Fine, copper (tóng) color. Cleaned, with a few rim nicks. An absolutely gigantic coin that looks extremely impressive in-hand.
