Draped bust of Victory right, CAESAR DIC TER / Minerva standing left with trophy and shield decorated with Medusa, serpent at feet, PRAEF C CLOVI. ref: Cohen 7, Sear 1417, Cr. 476/1a, Syd 1025 for type. Huge 29mm, 16.04 g. Deep brown, almost black patina. By far the largest and most impressive Julius Caesar coin I’ve had the honor to hold in my entire career.
