A beautiful Gandharan stucco head from the Indus Valley, ca. 4th-5th Century AD. This superbly detailed sculpture is 2.875” high, is masterfully carved from stucco and depicts an individual with lovely facial features and an intricate, wavy coif held in place with a braided headband. In exceptional condition, with light earthen deposits. Mounted on stand (entire piece stands 4.” high).
Accompanied by a hand-signed certificate of authenticity which includes all the details, culture, dating, motifs/inscriptions when applicable, historical relevance, and provenance.
