Double Barrel Percussion Pistol // Early-Mid 1800’s
Product Description
This is an excellent, unmarked .69 caliber double barrel percussion pistol from the early-mid 1800s. With checkered walnut stock, floral engraving on lock-plates, hammers, tang and trigger guard. The pistol has a double .69 gauge smoothbore barrel, which still smells faintly of black powder! The bores are dark with oxidation marks, the overall metal with oxidation marks, mottled gray patina. The stock with dings, dents, and wear from extensive handling and use. The barrels do not fit tightly into the stock. The two hammers and trigger function, but only the right hammer snaps when that trigger is pulled. Screw is a modern replacement. Nicely preserved overall.
