Product Description

A nice Bactrian bronze cosmetic container with spatula, c. 2000 - 1600 BCE, the body of inverted piriform shape with low disk base, the tubular neck with flared mouth. A nice example with thick olive-green patination. Also included is a bronze spatula which would have been used to apply the cosmetics, with diamond-shaped blade and oval handle.

This container was actually used in an episode of NCIS which originally aired on October 3, 2022 while the characters are studying Baktrian symbols and artifacts, and is actually shown on a large monitor screen they are standing in front of!
