Ancient Celtic, 1200 - 1000 BCE. Bronze Age, intact and rare bronze sickle blade, probably used as currency in ancient times. Slightly concave on one side and flat on the other. With an ancient hole at nearly the exact weight distribution point, allowing it to be hung in a balanced way, indicating this was for currency rather than being utilitarian in nature. Dark green patina with light earthen deposits.
