Product Description
A wonderful and TINY Neo-Classical faience bust of a woman, circa 1700's-1800's AD. With delicate features, depicted smiling with an almost winking eye, bunches of wine grapes in her hair, wearing pearl necklace. Would once have been an inlay into an important piece of delicate jewelry. Brownish-yellow tone with light deposits and remains of very old adhesive visible on the back. Only 12mm high! Ex Dr. Geoffrey Smith collection, curator of the Museum of Man, San Diego, CA USA.
Accompanied by a hand-signed certificate of authenticity which includes all the details, culture, dating, motifs/inscriptions when applicable, historical relevance, and provenance.
