Rare Ancient Persian Bronze Cymbals // Circa 8th Century BC
Product Description
Luristan, ancient Persia, c. 8th century BC. A rare and intact set of small bronze musical cymbals. Now heavily encrusted with earthen and mineral deposits, these would have been struck together to make music in ancient times. Extremely rare for such objects to be found together after nearly 3,000 years! Likely made in the Holy Land during the Persian expansion of the time. They have a green patina with heavy earthen deposits.
Accompanied by a hand-signed certificate of authenticity which includes all the details, culture, dating, motifs/inscriptions when applicable, historical relevance, and provenance.
