Ancient Islamic, Great Seljuqs. A stunning gold dinar struck under Sanjar, 1118-1157 AD, Nishapur mint, citing the caliph al-Muqtafi (AH 530 - AH 555). Very fine, crudely struck as was common nearly 1000 years ago. 20mm, 1.93g. Ex Stephen Album, expert and author of the definitive books on Islamic coins.
