A great ancient Islamic Artuqid bronze Dirham coin struck AH 580 - 597 (1184 - 1200 AD). The front depicts a Turk seated cross-legged, wearing chain mail, holding a sword and severed helmeted head. The reverse with long Seljuk inscription. Set in custom silver bezel and heavy 20-inch Italian silver chain. Total diameter 33mm (1 1/4”).
