Ancient Celtic bronze "bell money", c. 5th-4th century BC. Danube River tribes. A small 1"H bronze bell, used as currency before the introduction of hammered silver and gold coinage. Simple construction, with small loop handle, no clapper inside. Deep olive-green patina. Found at an ancient site near the Danube River, Eastern Europe.
