Ancient Roman, 3rd - 4th Century CE. Excellent, large bronze "Crossbow-fibula" toga pin. A Roman soldier's / Legionary type, with high arched body for thick material to fit through, when worn over the shoulder. Gorgeous olive-green patina, nice detail. Still retains its original pin! A military-issued item, worn by high ranking figures in the legion.
