Biblical "Widow's Mite" coin. Bronze prutah, coin type mentioned in the Bible, struck c. 103-76 BC, but circulated throughout Judaea during the time of Christ. The obverse depicts the Seleucid anchor, Greek inscription 'BAΣIΛEΩΣ AΛEΞANΔPOY'. The opposite side with a wheel with 8 ray-like spokes, Hebrew inscription 'Yehonatan the King'. Set into a nice custom silver cross pendant and 18" Italian silver chain. Coin diameter 12mm, cross measures 2” x 1.375” including loop. An excellent, wearable piece of early New Testament history!
