Celtic Gaul, circa 80-50 BC. The Aedui tribe, ancient Celtic France. Silver quinarius. The front depicts a heavily Celticized helmeted head of Roma facing left / The back depicts a horse galloping left, three circlets around, and a downwards crescent below. ref: De La Tour 5252 / DT 3189 for type. Excellent detail, with dark gunmetal-gray patina. The coin measures 14mm diameter, encapsulated and certified Very Fine by NGC. Archival slab measures 3.125" x 2.125" x 0.375”.
