A fantastic bronze and iron split blade knife, late Classical - Medieval, c. 8th - 12th Century, the handle with two groups of ridges and round profile, the pommel with vertical groove. The hilt possesses a flared end and the iron blade is forked with cutting edges on the inside. An interesting weapon/tool perhaps used for cutting cord or sails on a ship. Well-preserved, and very rare.
